Alejandro Calderon-Mateos obtained his MS in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2000 and his Ph.D. in 2005 from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is an associate professor in the Computer Science Department at the Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain). His research interests include High Performance Computing, Large Distributed Computing, and Parallel and Distributed File Systems. Alejandro has participated in MiMPI (a multithread implementation of MPI), the Expand parallel file system, etc. He is the coauthor of more than 40 articles in journals and conferences.
