Gracia Ester Martín Garzón (PhD Symposium Co-chair)
G. Ester Martín Garzón is a Full Professor of Computer Architecture and Technology at Universidad of Almería (Spain). Her research activity is centered on High Performance Computing (HPC) addressed to extend applications of scientific computation. This way her works have been related to different fields and disciplines, such as image processing, physics, mathematics, and medicine. She has published more than 150 papers in journals and international conferences and has a wide experience in the training of young researchers with eight supervised theses very fruitful. She has participated and led several national projects, currently leading the national projects Comp4Health: ‘Design of computational methods with application in health' and EPILSERA: 'Smart bracelet for prediction, detection, and notification of epileptic attacks’. Now, Prof. EM Garzón is Secretary of the Directive Committee of SARTECO: Spanish Society of Computer Architecture and Technology. She has been the leader of the local committee of the XIII winter school of CAPAP-H, 2023; a member of the local committee of the EurOpt Workshop 2018; and Local Chair of EUROPAR 17.
