
Stefano Markidis (Programming, Compilers and Performance Co-chair)
Stefano Markidis is an associate professor of computer science and researcher in High-Performance Computing at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he was a researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and KULeuen before moving to KTH. His research interest focuses on parallel programming models and quantum computing. He likes watching football games and reading American writers’ novels in his free time. He is a big fan of Cormac McCarthy and John Fante.
